So, how can a city ensure that everyone can fairly access EV chargers without access to a home charger?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Objectives and solutions<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-14405 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pluginamerica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/city-of-boston-300x300.png\" alt=\"city of boston\" width=\"407\" height=\"407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pluginamerica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/city-of-boston-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/pluginamerica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/city-of-boston-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/pluginamerica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/city-of-boston.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cRecharge Boston: Boston\u2019s Zero Emission Vehicle Program\u201d is an initiative in the capital of Massachusetts designed to ensure that every household in the city is within a 10-minute walk of a publicly available EV charging station. To ensure this can happen, the city is installing 250 curbside EV chargers across the city over a 2-year period.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it\u2019s electric and Greenspot are two private-sector companies that are installing public EV chargers in Boston to provide curbside charging at no cost to the city. it\u2019s electric will install Level 2 charging posts, which get power from nearby private buildings. Buildings are compensated for energy usage, and property managers and owners can sign up to become property partners. EV drivers will then be able to sign up for it\u2019s electric and receive a portable EV charging cord which can be used to charge at any of\u00a0 it\u2019s electric\u2019s chargers in Boston.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greenspot will also install curbside chargers and manage its charging network free of charge for the city of Boston.
