Right now, we have a key opportunity to ensure equity for residents of apartments and condos in the next CALGreen building code cycle.\u00a0<strong>Speak up today<\/strong>\u00a0if you agree that California\u2019s multi-family residents \u2013\u00a0<b>who are more likely to be low-wealth, BIPOC, and\/or more burdened with air pollution\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 deserve the same access to affordable and convenient at-home electric vehicle (EV) charging that residents of new single-family homes have enjoyed since 2015!<\/p>\n<p>The CA Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is taking comments through August 1st on the intervening CALGreen code cycle. Help us to flood HCD\u2019s inbox with thousands of emails urging them to ensure access to <strong>EV Ready charging for<\/strong> every new multi-family unit with parking!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to help (do one or both):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">If you are an individual: Take 30 seconds now to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pluginamerica.salsalabs.org\/evchargingequity?eType=EmailBlastContent&amp;eId=44444444-4444-4444-4444-444444444444\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener\">send a letter to HCD<\/a><\/strong>. Feel free to edit and make it your own, or just hit send! Deadline: August 1 by 5pm Pacific.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">If you represent an organization: Very important: Take 1 minute to add your organization to the EV Charging For All Coalition sign-on letter to HCD.
