Plug In America\u2019s PlugStar electric vehicle dealer training program<\/a> has greatly expanded in recent weeks with new exciting new programs in partnership with DoorDash, Kia, and Wells Fargo.<\/p>\n

In the San Francisco Bay Area, PlugStar is partnering with DoorDash to drive and scale up the adoption of EVs among delivery drivers. Through this pilot program, Plug In America (PIA) will engage, educate, and support EV dealers and DoorDash drivers through events for delivery drivers, as well as certifying, supporting and training EV dealers in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n

Plug In America is also partnering with Kia to train, certify, and provide ongoing support for nearly 100 Kia dealers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York. Our PlugStar program complements Kia\u2019s existing training and support by educating dealer sales staff about EV basics, charging at home and on the go, and incentives.<\/p>\n

In partnership with Wells Fargo, Plug In America is providing training, certification, and support for dealers nationwide that have financing relationships with Wells Fargo. To date, hundreds of sales staff from 107 certified dealers have participated in the first of four online trainings through the Wells Fargo partnership. This partnership follows Wells Fargo\u2019s sponsorship of National Drive Electric Week and Drive Electric Earth Day.<\/p>\n

With all of these programs, dealers receive PlugStar certification, which includes access to PlugStar tools and resources, featured listings on PlugStar.com, and ongoing assistance via the EV Support Program<\/a>, which includes phone and email support.<\/p>\n

PlugStar is an integrated consumer and dealer engagement program that combines EV training, certification, marketing, online tools, sales support and simplifies how dealers and consumers understand electricity as a fuel. PlugStar has been proven to help dealers to become more confident in selling EVs, with PlugStar trained sales staff selling four times as many EVs as untrained sales staff. Consumers can find PlugStar-certified dealers on PlugStar.com, ensuring a positive EV buying experience.<\/p>\n
